Principal Consultuant/Trainer/Auditor
Graham has over 35 years experience in management and supervision, general management and human resource management. He has specialised in risk, health and safety, injury, rehabilitation and human resource management for the last 20 years. This scope was expanded 15 years ago to include quality, environment, compliance, assurance, continuity, business management and governance.
In the early 90’s he commenced and operated his own multi trade business in the area of repair/maintenance/renovations.
Graham has been in the consulting field for 31 years. From 1982-1988, Graham was North Queensland Manager of the National Safety Council of Australia (Qld Div).
During the period of Aug 88 to Dec 92, he was the Occupational Health, Welfare and Safety Advisor and Comcare Case Manager for the Northern Region of the ATO. He served on the Comcare State Management Consultative Committee for three years and was instrumental in forming a group of Commonwealth Case Managers in North Qld, based in Townsville. Since 1994 he has been operating his own SME Consulting/Coaching business.

He is also a Certified Practicing Risk Manager (CPRM) and a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP). He is also a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) JP.(Qual).
During the late nineties early twenties he was the preferred Trainer./Consultant for QCCI for safety. He was also a WHS accredited Trainer for the Workplace Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) Construction, General, Service Industries Course.
He prepared and conducted a six month part time risk management course for TAFE Townsville in 1994. It was one subject forming part of the Certificate in Business Management.
Graham is a Certified Lead Auditor for quality, safety and environment with Exemplar Global No 9698. He was a qualified and registered Workplace Health and Safety Officer for the manufacturing, service and construction industry. He is also a qualified Workplace Rehabilitation Officer with Workcover and is an accredited PQC, GTO and QRide Qld Government Auditor and a Department of Health Food Safety Auditor. He is a WHSQ (Construction) Auditor.
In February 2001, he was a reviewer on a Mine Warden’s enquiry into a serious mine accident. Between 2002 to 2006 he investigated three workplace deaths and an expert witness for the defence. He has provided an expert witness report for an unfair dismissal case and a common law case involving a fire which destroyed a plantation of mangoes.
Graham was an active member of the Townsville Branch of the SIA 1985 to 2008 and the vice president Regional SIA Qld Division 1996-2010. He was a member of the AICD Townsville Committee (2001-2013). He is a member of the SIA Technical Committee, RMIA Professional Certification Examination Committee.
Graham joined the Citizen Military Force (now the Army Reserve) in 1967 and retired as a Major in 2010. From 1976 to 1982 he served in the Regular Army. From 2004 to 2010 he was posted to Army Headquarters and played a key role in introducing the new “Army Safe” and “Risk Management System”. As part of this he developed the Auditor Course (Obtained Exemplar Global certified Training Provider examining participants against the five (5) Exemplar Global Competency units) and trained over 100 reservists to undertake the QSE audits for all Army units around Australia.
As a great reward for his dedication to his business and his clients, Graham won the North Qld Manager/Owner of the year 2001 through the Australian Institute of Management’s Excellence Awards.
Over the years Graham has been active on various community based organisation such as Scouts, P & C of School, Childcare Centre etc, including Safe Community Townsville. He has been a College Council Member (since 2000) and the Chair of the Council for John Flynn College at James Cook University (2006-2014).
